Only one day until Nathan and I go on our 5 week trip around Europe and I cannot wait! After finishing university almost 2 weeks ago, I had about three days to get excited and then I got invited to an interview in London for yesterday so that’s been on my mind until now (I think it went well for those wondering).
I started packing this morning (I like putting it off as long as I can) and I think I’ve got everything I need. We bought 60L rucksacks from mountain warehouse and I look a bit ridiculous with it on, here’s hoping I don’t fall over! I’ve split all of my different clothing types into bags so it’s a bit easier to find things in my bag – I skimped on packing cubes so I’ve just got supermarket bags, classic.
So, as shown in my last post about this trip, we are going to 13 places across Europe, starting in Amsterdam and ending in Split. We’re staying between 2 – 5 nights in places so some parts are going to be a bit more rushed to get trains etc and then others are a bit more chilled. As for plans, we have a few things sorted but we’re quite spontaneous on holiday, we like to just find and do stuff when we’re in a place rather than having 1, 2, 3… on a list of things we have to see.
What have we got planned?
- Bayern Munich stadium tour
- Neuschwanstein Castle trip
- Trip along Lake Garda
- Split Bar Crawl
- Eating all of the food
- Drinking all of the beer
Travel wise, we’ve got a mixture of trains and buses throughout the trip. Our longest journey is Frankfurt to Munich which is 5 hour 30 and three trains, can’t wait. I guess it’s all part of the adventure and I’m sure there will be amazing views along the way!
See you on the next post,
Maddie
